it's nice to get such a nice sighting so unexpectedly isn't it!!
I've had Ospreys up here well inland fairly often - my most unusual in nth Qld
was one adult recorded once along Fossilbrook Ck which is only 3 mtrs wide!!
it's near Mt Surpise, 4 hrs drive sw of Cairns, so it does happen...
great stuff!!
