Hi all.

My wife and I have just returned from a tour to these islands organisedby Birding Tours Australia which was ably led by Richard Baxter.


Bird highlights on Christmas Island were:
Yellow Bittern
Cinnamon Bittern
Pintail Snipe
Dollarbird
Black Bittern
Malayan Night Heron
Java Sparrow
A mysterious unidentified cuckoo
The frigatebirds, boobies and the endemics were also a delight.

Bird highlights of Cocos Island were:
Eurasian Teal
Western Reef Egret
Saunders Tern
Asian Koel
Dollarbird
Oriental Cuckoo
Redshank
Green Junglefowl
