Queensland Ornithological Conference: The State of Australia's Birds
hosted by: BirdLife Southern Queensland & Birds Queensland
This annual conference is a blend of talks related to birds and their
conservation.

1 June 2014 TBA (excursions & workshops; including acoustic monitoring,

ABSTRACTS DUE by March 28th 2014 Oral presentations 25 min
(non-students), or 12 min (students)

Registration fee (waived for those presenting, or for students who
submit an abstract):
Students $35.00 All others $55.00 with a discount of $5.00 if payment is
made prior to 31 May2014.
Students are eligible for two BirdLife SQ and Birds Queensland Student
Awards for Excellence in Ornithological Studies
· Prize for the best student paper/presentation: a pair of Swarovski
binoculars
The students who submit the top six abstracts will each give a 15 minute
presentation.
· Prize for the top student poster: TBA
· Prize for the best bird photograph -TBA (open to everyone, contact us
for guidelines)
