Dear birdersI have some friends about to go with family to Fiji for 10 days or so, staying on Waya Island in the Yasawa Group - NW of Vita Levu. They are both keen but not very experienced birders and have not had time to investigate birding in this area. Has anyone any information on bird guides - when they were last in Fiji, they were very depressed at the numbers of Common Mynas - no doubt due to being in touristy areas. They now want to get up into the forests (if any remain) and see the endemics. Any advice would be much appreciated.
