An Asian Dowitcher is showing well at the Toorbul wader roost on Pumicestone Passage. I saw the bird this afternoon but learned later it had been discovered there yesterday. It has been a good summer for this species in south-east Queensland. Also today, a pair of Pale-vented Bush-hens showed nicely at Coochin Creek, also on Pumicestone Passage.
