Hi all, Dan Mantle, Plaxy Barratt and I were able to stop in at Lake McLarty for an hour or so today. The water level is low enough for a few waders, mostly in the SE corner. The highlight was a Ruff - a large male this time unlike the females seen last season. Also two Pectoral Sandpiper and two Marsh Sandpiper plus a few hundred Sharpies John Barkla also visited today, and saw similar things managed 5 Pectoral Sandpiper, a Wood Sandpiper, and one each of Red-kneed Dotterel and Black-tailed Native-hen Cheers, John |
