Geoff,
These are wonderful photographs and thanks so much for sharing them with us. I hope the pedants who think as they are not birds you should have not posted, relax their pursed lips and just delete the message.

All the best for the festive season to you and all the birding-aus family,
Alan

As some of you will know back in May 2009 I embarked on a trip with Heritage
expeditions Which started in Auckland to Norfolk Island, thru the Solomon
Islands and on to Yokohama in Japan, along the way besides photographing
birds I also photographed Flying Fish and as pure luck would have it a Squid
propelling itself away from the bow of the ship of the Islands of Japan.
Also earlier this year I did the Western Pacific Odyssey trip again and as
some of you know I spend a lot of time standing at the bow of the Spirit Of
Enderby waiting for Petrels & Albatrosses to fly by. As there are times when
the birding is slow, my attention turns to something else other than my
lousy jokes & here are the results They are Flying Fish in all colours and
sizes, so I have decided to put up a gallery on my website and here is the
link. http://www.barraimaging.com.au/Flying-Fish/Flying-Fish

Kindest Regards Geoff Jones
