Hi Sonja,
I use the Birdwatchers Diary app, which can upload directly to eBird (which
is what I always do).
There are lists for most countries, plus you can easily create your own.
For example, I have one with ~50 species in it that I use when I am
monitoring the Hooded Plovers on the Mornington Peninsula.
Some of the features I like include:
- Being able to quickly select the required species without having to type
it's name,
- Being able to record the GPS co-ordinaries for any sighting,
- Being able to record multiple sightings for the same species (eg. I can
record each breeding pair of Hoodies separately),
- Being able to record presence only or counts for species,
- Being able to quickly record notes for a sighting - you can have you own
"standard" phrases, which you can tap on to include (eg. nest, chicks, etc).
I can provided examples of the files it creates if you like.
