On a visit last week to the Eidsvold area of the Upper Burnett region of south-east Queensland, I had repeated sightings of Squatter Pigeon and Ground Cuckoo-shrike. This is the general area where Paradise Parrots were last seen, in 1938. The termite mounds once used for nesting by the parrots are still in evidence.
