Hi all
While it's drier than in previous years, the SA Outback is going off once
again - over the past few days on the Birdsville track we've had Grey
Falcon, Black-breasted Buzzard, Inland Dotterel, Aus Pratincole, Grey &
Eyrean Grasswren, Banded Whiteface, Cinnamon Quail-thrush and all 5 species
of Chat - yes including Gibberbird and Yellow Chat, the latter with
juveniles. Smallish groups of Flock Bronzewings - an amazing experience
having them fly low, right overhead - are still present, some as far south
as 50 km N of Marree. Budgies and Cockatiels were also seen regularly.
Equally good reports are coming through from the Strezelecki track where
Letter-winged Kites are also still present.
