Debbie,
at the risk of making this political, if the OBP becomes extinct in the
wild in the next 3 years (and let's all hope not), surely you won't be
blaming the Abbott Government? OBP's have been critically endangered for at
least two decades (since last century or even last millenia...) and the ALP
were in government both Federally and in all states where OBP's are found
(Vic, Tas, SA and NSW) all at the same time, and OBP numbers did not
increase dramatically during that time...............
To paraphrase a former PM, maybe OBP's are "the extinction we had to
have".........
As I said earlier, let's all hope not, OBP's are great little parrots :-)
