Hi all I am probably going to have a day or 1 1/2 days free in/around Chiang Mai (after a work conference) to do some birding in late November this year. (The 1/2 day is dependent on when I have to start heading homewards - the flight times are not yet sorted.) I can see plenty of websites with recommendations for places to visit etc, but with such a short timeframe, I am also interested in finding a guide or friendly local (I will pay a birding-pal fee) to help me get around (esp to the montane areas) and help me ID what I am seeing as I don't want to chew up a large chunk of time sorting hire cars and the like. Would anybody have any recommendations please?
