CREST looks after a flock of around 100 semi-wild Sulphur Crested
Cockatoos here in Tyabb. These remarkable birds live in the Heritage

Australia, and then spread to the rest of the world. I'm trying to
find any Indigenous knowledge of PBFD in Australia prior to white
settlement here. I've had great difficulty accessing our cultural
knowledge. It is possible that this virus coincidently emerged around
the time of white settlement, but this seems like a very big
coincidence to me.
Are you able to share any knowledge of Beak & Feather disease in
parrots (all kinds) in our history? Your help would be most
appreciated by our members.
