Hi Steve What part of the country is this observation from? There has also long been rumours of Masked Owls roosting in caves of the Hamersley Range in the Pilbara of WA, although i have never heard of any solid records. Cheers Bruce Not sure if its been mentioned yet but I have observed a Masked Owl leaving a derelict mine shaft on dusk, so they roost in those also.
