Hi Colin, you query frequency of observations of Masked Lapwing on Ashmore
Reef where migrants to and from Australia may be encountered. I know of only
one record and that was in back in 1997. We've never seen one on the almost
annual Kimberley Birdwatching trips in spring neither have we on the now
biannual Monash University Monitoring Surveys. So they are rare.
