Hi A 6 hour seawatch today (27.6.13) produced: (approx) 300 Fairy Prions moving north (most within 200 mtrs of the headland, small numbers feeding and sitting on the water). 1 Giant Petrel sp, (south), most probably Northern, but too distant for positive id. 1 Sooty Shearwater (south). (approx) 100 Fluttering/Hutton's type Shearwater. 40 Gannets and 5 Hardhead (go figure). Still no CDPs ......yet. 3 Lesser Crested Terns on the beach near the ferry terminal. Cheers -- Colin Reid So many birds, so little time...... -- http://www.fastmail.fm - One of many happy users: http://www.fastmail.fm/help/overview_quotes.html =============================== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: http://birding-aus.org =============================== |
