White-necked Heron
Copping
Solitary bird in paddock on left of highway as approaching Copping from west. (The farmer has it for sale, or maybe that's the paddock...) The neighbouring paddock had numerous White-faced Herons, but none dared cross the fence into the stranger's territory. Foreneck had dark spots. Plummy plumes visible.
