Hi Matt,
It is interesting to read about sightings, I think. It would also be good if
you joined Eremaea which runs BirdLine (free) and started putting your lists
there. You could also contribute to the Atlas. Spending the time doing this
means that the information is available not only to birders, but also to
councils and governments, and may be useful in helping to decide if an area
should be conserved or not, for example.
I think there are quite a few of the silent readers of the forum who find
behaviours interesting too.
