Hi all,

You can add Eurasian Teal to that list, with a bird just seen on the West
Island of Cocos Keeling Islands.

As far as I can assertain, there have been several previous recent records of
Eurasian Teal on West Island (December 2010 till February 2011, Dec 2011 till
April 2012, August 2012), with debate raised as to whether it's the same bird.
Note that Clements treats Eurasian Teal (Anas crecca) as conspecific wth
Green-wiinged Teal.

Cheers,

Tim

Wow!
With birds like this and the Purple Heron in WA, there must be so many vagrants
in the country that are simply never seen!

Cheers
