The Victorian Flora and Fauna Guarantee Act (FFG Act) Scientific Advisory
Committee (SAC) has recently published its assessment
(recommendation reports) of two bird items nominated for listing
unedr the FFG Act.
The items are
Latham's Snipe
and
'Competition with native fauna by the Common Myna Sturnus
tristis' (potentially threatening process)
The SAC has found that the nominations for these items do not meet any of
the listing criteria in the Flora and Fauna Guarantee Regulations
2011 and have therefore recommended to the Minister for
Environment & Climate Change that they be rejected for listing..
