It's the beginning of another season of recreational duck shooting in Victoria - the first presided over by a veterinarian. Shooters are expected on hundreds of Victorian wetlands, with thousands of birds killed. As in past years, many will be non-game or protected species such as swamphens, coots, spoonbills, swans and even raptors. Please spend a few minutes to tell the Premier what you think. Shooting ducks is a callous slaughter which is horrifying to witness. =============================== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: http://birding-aus.org =============================== |
