Passing on a report that Brian Huggett and son Richard successfully photographed the Wigeon this Thursday morning. Congratulations to Les George for finding this first record for Australia.

In the reeds on right-hand side of dam wall/ 7:30am. Very vocal.

A dark-hooded gull that has been hanging around Cervantes [200 km north of Perth) for the past 6-8 weeks. (TD)

Thu 28 Feb Red-footed Booby Croajingolong National Park (Thurra Camp), Victoria
An immature Red-footed Booby was found on the beach during afternoon storms. Also two Hooded Plover on beach at mouth of Thurra River. [Moderators note: this is the first VIctorian record. Unfortunately the bird did not survive. TD]
