Many thanks to everyone who replied to my previous mystery calls. Sorry for the confusion re the Hanging Rock recording. I have since deleted it and just uploaded the Rufous Whistler call. I have just one recording left to ID. It is a short, sharp and clear call. The call was recorded at the Strahan Airport, Tasmania on 1st February 2013 I had seen a few New Holland Honeyeaters in the area but I feel the call is not this specie. I was also lucky enough to see a few Southern Emu-wrens and a Ground Parrot .. but I'm sure this call is neither of these species. Is it possibly a Grey Shrike-thrush ?
