Thanks Carl - I had heard of this before but never with any supporting
documentation. I know that even in Aus at some places hunters maintain nest
boxes ........
And I guess a lobby of that size is probably more effective at getting
governments to maintain wetlands than birders would be - even though it is
for the wrong reasons!
