Hi Steve,
Exciting news indeed! The article says that the transmitters were fitted to 24
birds "this year". The only NZSP record from 2013 that I'm aware of was of 2
birds seen off Southport on the 19th Jan (with one being a very lightly
streaked bird according to Paul).
Maybe the photographers that were on board need to have a closer look at their
images?? I think it would be unlikely though.
