For those who may have missed Jack Airey's entry on Birdline Victoria, an Osprey was seen feeding on a large fish on the rock platform below Cheviot Hill at Point Nepean on Saturday 23 February. The BirdLife Bayside trip to Mud Islands had been cancelled due to the strong easterly wind and most of the participants decided to go to Point Nepean for the day. 51 species were recorded, including at least 3 White-throated Needletails, and there is a possibility that there was a second Osprey as four people saw what appeared to be two birds on the rocks late in the afternoon when they were walking back from the point.
