Maybe some will be kind enough to ID this call for me. It was recorded on my phone last week after midnight in a back street of Annandale/Leichhardt - very urban inner city Sydney. http://www.cse.unsw.edu.au/~andrewt/mystery.wav The call was being uttered every 30-90 seconds. May well be something obvious but it has me beaten. I thought I knew the local frog, fruit-bat & possum calls. Somewhat like some Owlet-Nightjar calls (unlikely at this location). Could be a captive animal or non-biological. Andrew |
