There is an email circulating around at the moment, including photos purporting
to be taken by the poster, of Bald Eagles that were being fed by a retired
teacher in January, at Alton, Illinois and St Louis, Missouri. The photos,
while great images are not those of the poster. They were actually taken by
other photographers at Homer Spit, Alaska. The feeding was actually started by
Jean Keene, in the late '70s and she continued feeding the Eagles till her
death some 30 years later.
I suggest you look up Alton, Ill and St. Louis, Miss in Google Earth and see if
you can see those broad expanses of water that are in the backgrounds of some
of the photos.

Cheers,

Carl Clifford
