Not as exciting as the myriad of seabirds washed into the area by Tropical Cyclone Oswald but 14 Magpie Geese at a dam north of Coutts Crossing were the first at this site for a number of years. Thirty-nine Plumed Whistling-Ducks were also present at a site where once we had 50+ Magpie Geese and 1,500+ Plumed Whistling-Ducks. The egg farm closed and they stopped feeding the cattle there.
