Thanks for all who replied - yes the book is wrong!

I now have 4 sites that could claim to be "ntbirds" so publishing
the list in the hope of helping others in future

http://ntbirds.net/ is Niven's site
http://ntbirds.com.au is Mike Reed's
http://ntbirds.wordpress.com/ is also Mike Reed's but appears to be less
current than the last one
