Hi Jill et al,In 2006 we went to both the Antarctic and Chile - the latter guided by Enrique Couve - wow!! It seems the company has split into 2 departments, as the website given by David comes up with Torres del Paine trips and accommodation. So, try this one:- http://www.fsexpeditions.com/ Now, we do have their Field Guide (can't see it advertised anymore?), excellent, but also have and enjoyed using the Jaramillo guide to Chile, etc. (Ours published by Princeton Field Guides, but seems to be the same one Euan Moore mentioned, and David). I got it either from Borders or online - cannot remember, sorry. The Haoram Shirihai tome is the Big Daddy of them all - hardly a Field Guide, but a great publication (they had it on board our expedition ship). Jill, you will love the Fantastico Sur....have a fab trip, and good luck with Field Guides. Cheers, Peter Madvig |
