Could I be so bold as to ask thread contributors to please change the Subject Line details if they are going to change the topic of a running thread. I am quite interested in Philip Veerman’s excellent query about the similarity between Collared Sparrowhawks and Brown Goshawks but that thread has been thoroughly hijacked twice now and I am becoming quite ‘confused and frustrated’ through constantly opening what appears to be a response to Philip’s excellent query only to find the topic being discussed has nothing whatsoever to do with that. Frankly, I am not interested in who thinks which birds in the northern hemisphere are or are not easy to identify but the case of the two colour morphs of the Grey Goshawk is interesting enough to warrant a clearly labelled thread of its own.
