I have recently been lamenting the lack of sightings of Australian Crake in
SE Qld, (in fact, I haven't seen one in our great state since the
late-eighties!) today whilst attempting (in vain) to find Plum-headed Finch
in the Lockyer Valley, Birding-Aus *Victorian* regular Dave Torr spotted
one at Lake Galetley in the UQ grounds at Gatton. The temperature at the
time was in the mid-thirties and it was around noon.
