Hi Roy and birding-aussers,
I note the Dowitcher is still being reported on Queensland Birdline. I may
be in Brisbane next Wednesday, was there last weekend but no time to look
for the Dowitcher :(
I haven't been to the Port of Brisbane wader roost and was seeking
directions and whether you need permission to get in etc.
Alternatively, if anyone is around Wednesday and likely to be going that
way that would be great. I will be flying in and can hire a car.
High tide is around 8.20 A.M. and seems fairly high , does this affect the
roost locations ?
Cheers

Subject: Asian Dowitcher at Port of Brisbane
I was at the Port of Brisbane wader roost pond today and we found an Asian
Dowitcher in front of bird hide anong the good numbers of waders present.
They included Eastern Curlew, Whimbrel, Bar-tailed Godwit, Great Knot, and
Sharp-tailed Sandpiper. Hopefully the following link will take you to a
photo taken by Finnish friend, Jukka Jantunen.
