I recently (well, it was more than a year ago now) was interviewing for a
job in a company who had their headquarters at the top of a skyscraper in
Bourke Street. The interview panel all sat against the glass wall of the
office, and I sat opposite them, occasionally answering a question, but
mainly admiring the view. Suddenly a Peregrine went past the window, just
metres from the glass. I yelled "woah, a Peregrine! Did you see that?"
No reaction whatsoever from the three interviewers. They didn't even blink,
just sat there like the Easter Island statues.
Perhaps not surprisingly, I didn't get the job.
