That's good news, Paul. But it raises three questions in my mind:
- What on earth were they doing with them to take 8 weeks?
- Is it typical that binoculars can sustain such damage falling from less than 
a metre onto, I assume, dirt?
- You've had 8 weeks use of a pair of Monarchs, which seem to be the defacto 
standard for good but low cost binoculars. How did they compare to the Leicas?
