This week (few days ago) i observed two rainbow bee eaters at Katherine Gorge N.T with their feet locked together, flapping their wings fast and spiralling towards the ground before they let go and take off.... This happened two more times with the same two birds FIGHTING i would assume...they were being very vocal with each other...i imagine its two males in a territory fight or for food?? Anyone else seen this behaviour?...i've only witnessed birds of prey e.g black kites etc with coupled talons, spiralling towards the ground... Would love to know if anyone else has seen this behaviour between rainbow bee eaters??? kirri =============================== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: http://birding-aus.org =============================== |
