There is an interesting article in the New York Times discussing the
deadly combination of factors for birds passing through Toronto - far
more birds are killed there than by any wind farm (funnily you never
hear objections to city tower proposals on the basis of the number of
birds that will die flying into it that you get for wind farms). In
one case a person in the area recovered close to 500 dead birds in a
morning ...
