Thu 25 Oct Short-tailed Shearwater Adventure Bay
Short-tailed Shearwater (10000) Probably more . Seen offshore during a clear time around 9.30am and again in the evening. One to several large masses with constant movement of streams of birds between them. Still present 26/10/12 and much better viewing conditions.

Forty-spotted Pardalote 'Inala' South Bruny Island
A big "thank you" to our tour guides for the 'Bruny Island Bird Fest' who stopped for the second time, and then found the ever so small bird. We then got to watch them for 10min.
Samantha Greiner

Sat 20 Oct Pied Oyster Catcher with tags Stanley
Observed a tagged Oyster catcher in a group of seven at Godfreys beach Stanley. Left leg two navy blue tags, one above and one below the knee. Right leg tag below the knee, red with a white band. Does anyone have info on this bird? Moderator's Note - I've passed on to James the details of how to report this sighting.
James Dredge
