G'day all, There's nothing like the flocks of 20,000+ that were seen in Boulia a little while back, but it seems that the numbers of budgies around Alice is really starting to build now, with a few flocks numbering in the thousands. I managed to get some interesting footage of what I can only describe as flock-vortexing and I've put some of this footage and a few other snaps up on the blog if anyone is interested. http://comebirdwatching.blogspot.com.au/2012/10/red-centre-hosts-large-flocks-of.html Cheers, Chris Watson -- *BIRDS CENTRAL AUSTRALIA* *Central Australian birding resource* *Guiding, writing, and the latest site information* *from Alice Springs* www.comebirdwatching.blogspot.com =============================== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: http://birding-aus.org =============================== |
