Looking at 4 Thick-billed Grasswrens, race Modesta, at the turn-off to the Leigh Creek Coal mine, 20 km south of Lyndhurst, SA. Moving with a family of White-winged Fairywrens. They are on the left of the road between the kangaroo and Leigh Creek Coalfield signs. Pretty exciting for us, and so easy after 8/9 hours of cold, windy, unsuccessful searching at Stokes Hill for the Short-tailed GW.
