Another possible avenue would be to check the protection status of all the
birds seen at the site.
Australia has legal obligations to ensure the protection of threatened
species and if any are regular visitors then some kind of remediation would
be required.
Check QLD, national and IUCN threatened lists and note that 'rare' and
'near threatened' are both threatened categories in some legislation.
I presume some kind of environmental assessment would have occurred so
reading over that might also be helpful.
