Nice birds seen in the Brisbane-Lockyer valleys included 3 Australian Painted-Snipe, no fewer than 48 Cotton Pygmy-Geese, a pair of Blue-billed Ducks, 200 Great Crested Grebes, Red-necked Avocet, Banded Lapwing, Pink-eared Duck and Black Kite.
