Dear All,

Following on the thread about Tasmanian endemics and thornbill I.D.s, if
you are interested have a look through all the thornbill pages on my
website www.graemechapman.com.au where I've gone to a fair bit of trouble
to show the differences between some species that cause confusion for a lot
of people. There are lots of Tassie Thornbill pics showing such features as
brown crown, whitish flanks, brown patch on primaries and wee little bill,
a range of Brown Thornbills including a couple from Tasmania, and how to
pick Slaty backs, the most misidentified thornbill in Australia.

I would also be grateful for any suggestions for improvements from the
experts. Please don't say I haven't got a Western Thornbill, to me the most
innocuous thornbill in Australia - that's why I never got around to
photographing it despite living in W.A. for fourteen years, and now a thorn
in my side, but not worth a return trip over there to fix!

Spring is here!! Whoopee! Its all happening - get out there and enjoy it.

Graeme Chapman
