g'Day allYesterday 5 Swift Parrots were at Binalong Bay boat harbor. Approx. 4 out of 5 years, first birds arrive here late August/early September, coinciding with early flowering of local Blue Gums. Numbers usually increase steadily through to November. Some years at their peak, more than 100 birds can be found by late Spring but usually, numbers diminish rapidly in December and have departed by new year. regards Ian May St Helens, Tasmania =============================== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: http://birding-aus.org =============================== |
