My wife and I are coming up on our 25th anniversary and have been
thinking about how to celebrate. Very sensibly, she suggested that
nothing could be more romantic than a visit to a sewage treatment
plant. Who am I to argue? I've had a look around on the Web and it
seems that you can apply for a two-year permit and key from Melbourne
Water. We've never been to Werribee and I'm looking for some advice.
* How difficult is it to figure out where to visit at the site? From
the map, it seems to be an extensive area. I remember hearing that
this is the second largest wetland in Australia.
* Is the sun in your eyes at certain times of day in a way that is
worth planning around?
* Is it advisable to apply for a "special permit"?
* Any ideas regarding how much lead time to allow for the permit
process? We're contemplating visiting during the first half of
November.
Thanks for any suggestions or advice.
