Sounds very much like Russet-tailed Thrush to me.

Gidday All,
I'm wondering if anyone can help me with this bird call please? It's from
Magnetic Island, north Queensland and only calls pre-dawn, except once this
afternoon after the sun had set. I recorded this this morning, and the mp3 is
cobbled together from several recordings I made. It has been calling every
morning for about six weeks now. It is ventriloquistic and shy. I know all the
main calls of my usual backyard mixed flock of small birds, but this one has me
stumped. It often calls in association with a Little shrike-thrush.
The call of interest is the two-note whistle repeated throughout.
Any help appreciated
Eric
