I'm heading up to Darwin mid-August and I am going to try my second attempt for
the Grasswren.

When I visited in September 2010 I had no luck at the top of Gunlom falls and a
radius of a couple of hundred meters around it. I understand that fire has made
this area unsuitable for the species which prefers older spinefex.

Searching the archives I came up with a location posted by Justin (on behalf of
Remco Hofland) on 24/10/2010. I have also read that there are suitable sites
around Plum Tree Creek and opposite the old El Sharana Mine site
(www.graemechapman.com.au).

Could someone please share with me the specifics of the latter two locations? I
would be grateful for any up-to-date information that might assist me in my
search.

Regards,

Luke
