Thanks Steve for the info on the new apps. It's an exciting time as technology progresses (and more apps appear), birders will be able to have whole libraries of field guides and other books on one Ipad. Great if you're travelling to a number of different countries on one holiday! Field guides will still come along with me, but at least I won't have to carry so many of them. Hopefully the pictures will get a bit better on apps, instead of the current rather non-lifelike ones at the moment.
