The Pink-eared Duck used to be a rare visitor to the Clarence Valley, north coast NSW, during periods of drought but in recent years we have had them breeding at Lawrence.

Today I had Pink-eared Duck, Cotton Pygmy-Goose and Swamp Harrier on the
Sunshine Coast. The duck in particular is regarded as very rare in this neck
of the woods.
